He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schwendenmann and Elizabeth Schwendenmann; his wife Kathryn Schwendenmann; his siblings, Margaret Schwendenmann and Raymond Schwendenmann; and his sister-in-law Judy Schwendenmann.
He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Lucas (John), Janet Shea and Joseph Schwendenmann; his grandchildren, Steven Lucas (Luann), Stephanie Shuping (Chad), Jennifer Rohan (Pat), Pamela and Benjamin Shea (Annie); his great grandchildren, Sara, Zachery, Anna, Christopher, Gabby, Chesley, Hudson, Elise, Vivian, Evie, Josh and Patrick Rohan (Krista); his great great grandchildren, Addison, Alexis and Shelby; his brother James Schwendenmann; and his sister-in-law Margie Schwendenmann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
