She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvey Pierson and Mary Julia Wissing Pierson; her siblings, Mel, Ken, Bernie Pierson and Kathy Bledsoe; and her siblings-in-law, John Hughes and Sandy Lockwood.
She is survived by: her husband Delbert Hughes; her children, Timothy Hughes (Tammy), Amy Teegarden (Gene) and Lisa Hughes (Steve McQueen); her grandchildren, Abby Gabbard (Kasey), Taylor, Lauren Schafer, Megan Armstrong, Stephanie McQueen, Brittany Peeno and Brandon Walden; her sister Linda Lipps (Al); and her sisters-in-law, Lucy Mead and Kay Hughes.
