It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Orven Harlin Powell Jr. of Sardis, Ohio, born in Mannington, West Virginia, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orven H. Powell, and Audra Powell, Sr. (Hudson); and his siblings, Mildreth Saporito, Esther Hennis and Denny Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Powell (Stewart); and his children, Cheryl Murdock (Charles) of New Martinsville, WV, Kathy Knowlton (Donald) of Sardis, OH, Diane Andreponte (Chad) of Lake Charles, LA, Richard Powell (Erin) of Charlotte, NC, Scott Powell (Helen) of California and David Peckens of Frisco, TX. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
