He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Prater and Virgie Ellen Prater (Nickell). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Prater of Sardinia; his son Junior Dale Prater of Sardinia; his sisters, Deloris Polley (Michael) of Cincinnati, Vicky Hayslip (John) of Davenport, FL and Eleen Smalley (Wayne) of Peebles; and his granddaughter Chelsea Welch of Georgetown. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
