She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Dryman and Lillie Mae Dryman (Farmer); her husbands, J. C. Vance and Don Shellabarger; her boyfriend Denver Taylor; and her sons, James Michael Vance and Ronald Carl Vance.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg L. Vance (Karen), Alan B. Vance (Pam) and Richard S. Vance (Peggy); and her daughter-in-law Laura Vance. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
