He was predeceased by: his spouse Rethel Conner; his son Ronald Goodwin; his granddaughter Amanda Workman; and his sisters, Lottie Shaffer, Lenora Hunter, Gaylen Walker and Lola Gonzales.

He is survived by: his children, Joyce Kyler (George) and Don Goodwin (Sarah); and his sister Mary Kempton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and survived by nieces and nephews.
