He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Bauman; his son John Bauman; his parents, Hans Bauman and Friederike Bauman (Mayer); and his siblings, Irwin Bauman, George Bauman and Johanna Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Bauman (Cherie) of Sandusky, Jennifer Bauman (Jack) of Sandusky, Mary Bauman of Sandusky and Heidi Fliehman (Joe) of Indiana; and his niece Mary Thole. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
