He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Urban and Genevieve "Jean" Mary Kowaleski (Zola); his wife Barbara J. "Barb" "Kitty" Kowaleski (Nieset); his children, Elyse Sanchez (Josiah) of Middleburg Heights, Adam Kowaleski (Allyson) of Columbus and Aaron Kowaleski (Janelle) of Bellevue; his grandchildren, Evelyn, Nolan, Hayes Sadie (Adam), Nina, Sylvie (Elyse) and Emma (Aaron); and his brothers, Dave (Connie) of Bellevue, Gary (Lou Ann) of Westerville and Stephen Kowaleski.

The family suggests that memorials contributions be made in his memory to one's favorite charity.
