He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ditzel and Margaret "Peggy" Ditzel (Donelon). He is survived by: his daughters, Tedra Steimle (Nick), Sarah Gentry (Rich), Colleen Vonasek and Trista Ditzel; and his siblings, Fran McGuire, Peggy Voelker (Bubs), Judy Ditzel, Barbie Wolansky (Nick), Carl Ditzel (Jean), Don Ditzel and Dave Ditzel (Cathy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory (1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John Bosco Catholic Church (6480 Pearl Rd, Parma Heights, OH 44130).
