He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie C. May, Sr. and Rubye Lee May (Harris); his siblings, Charlie May, Dorothy May, Charles May, Jr. and Undraye Hunley; and his niece Heather Hunley.
He is survived by: his brother Scott May of Indiana; and his brother-in-law Eli Hunley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Rufus' name.
