It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Tompkins (Sandusky, Ohio), born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on February 25, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Tompkins and Nina Tompkins; his brothers, Richard A. Tompkins Jr. and Paul E. Tompkins; his son Allen Tompkins; and his stepmother Ethel.

He is survived by: his daughter Sandy Jones (Tom) of Sandusky; his daughter-in-law Beth Tompkins of Sandusky; his siblings, Mary J. Siepel (William) of Columbus and Gerald L. Tompkins (Charlene) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Devon Jones, Camerynne Jones, Thomas Jones Jr., Kyle Jones, Melina Tompkins, Vanessa Tompkins, Jackson Tompkins and Brandon M. Myers. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

“In loving memory of Roger Tompkins, I'll always remember that old TV in the back room with knobs not buttons, and drinking as much RC Cola we wanted. Of always having candy in your fridge. And of the old westerns you introduced to me. Of the story you always told about how you saved that guys life. And that I loved your cigarette packs bc they had horses on it. Always taking a trip to the gas station to get your coffee and of course when you flirted with any PYT. I love you grandpa, always!”
