He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Wightman and Edith Wightman (Woodruff); his daughter Michelle Wightman; and his son-in-law Doug Risner. He is survived by: his wife Linda Wightman (Artino); his daughters, Tracey Risner (Wightman) and Tricia Patten (Randy); his grandchildren, Rachel Haynes (Tim), Ryan Patten, Regan Patten, Ross Patten and Curtis Risner (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Alice, Layla, Roman Risner and Haynes; and his brothers, Vern Wightman (Bonnie) and Keith Wightman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
