He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Norbert and Fredalena Rosalie Volz (Erne); and his siblings, Connie Feyedelem and Richard C. "Dick". He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. "Barb" Volz (Busam); his children, Maribeth Ringholz (Rick) of Sandusky, Margaret Hammond (Scott) of Huron, Mark Volz (Robin) of Sandusky, Terry Volz (Karen) of Sandusky and Casey Volz (Nancy) of Sandusky; his grandchildren, Sarah Peugeot (Gregg), Rachel Ewbank (Shane), Amy Dobbelaere (Zack), Kevin Volz, Dana Hammond (Will Hogg), Ryan Hammond (Karen Song), Megan Hammond (Jacob Saenz), Sara Volz, Jennifer Volz (James Dugan), Scott Volz (Erin Stout) and Cara Volz; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Natalie, Brody, Morgan, Bennett, Max, Andrew, Wyatt and Elliott; and his close friend Jessie Williams. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky.
