He was predeceased by: his parent Reef Young Sr.; his stepfather Herd Richey Jr.; his grandparents, Evans, Bertha Moss Maye, Lemmie Young and RoseAnne Johnson; and his great-nephew Fred Eugene Collins III.
He is survived by: his mother Geneva Richey; his wife Dale; his son Reef Young III; his siblings, Denise Rogers, Theresa Reed, Erna Keahey, Deanna Young, Joe Young and Michael Collins III; his aunt Emma McDougall; his goddaughters, Arielle Redding and A'niya Redding; and his close friends, Scott Hauke, Travis Myers, Rick McGee, Freeman Hunter and Ed Liphart. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
