He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Griggs and Joan Killian (Garvin); his stepfather Daniel Killian Sr.; and his siblings, Julie Killian and Daniel Killian Jr..

He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Griggs (Abby) of Sandusky and Matthew Griggs (Sarah) of Bowling Green; his stepchildren, Andrea Blankenship (Brandon) of Bellevue and Michael Allison of Sandusky; his brothers, Robert Griggs (Sylvia), Steven Griggs (Marlene), Jeff Griggs and Thomas Griggs (Cathy); and his stepbrother Art Killian. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
