She was predeceased by: her mothers, Eunice McGhee and Barbara Gowdy (Dickerson); her husband Henry Hampton; and her daughter Consquela. She is survived by: her children, Lorrene Smith, Alecia Smith, Elizabeth Demeritte, Leo Smith (Frances K.), Alexander Smith and Russell Smith; her sisters, Angela T. Reynolds and LaToya Reed; her niece Kenyotta; and her nephews, Raphael, Marvin, Maurice and Blake. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
