He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Benson and Mary Benson (Hemminger); his spouse Patricia M. Runyan; and his granddaughter Kim Ireton. He is survived by: his children, Pam Drumm (Mike), Phillip Benson (Sally), Polly Lynn, Paula Hodge (Frank) and Penny Czarnecki (Joe); and his siblings, Dorothy Rother and David Benson.
