With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia H. (Sommer) Oberer Matter of Sandusky, Ohio, born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on April 12, 2022 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Calvin "Cal" and Helen Marietta Sommer; her former husband Daniel Lee Oberer, MD; her husband David Matter; and her sisters, Joan Codding and Virginia Robertson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda J. Ratcliffe of Hammondsville, Karl L. Oberer (Jill), Sandusky, Frederick W. Oberer (Nancy) of Frederick, MD and Karen E. Haneke (Bernd) of Arvada, CO; her grandchildren, Russell Ratcliffe, Kathryn L. Oberer, Daniel J, Elizabeth Oberer, Megan E. Oberer, Jessica Oberer, Ian H. Haneke and Laura E. Haneke; and her sister Ruth E. Miller. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
