She was predeceased by: her father Walter Karl; her husband Omer Baetens; her siblings, Dolores "Short" Niese and Gerald "Buzz" Karl (Margaret); and her niece Jody Baker.
She is survived by: her sister Martha "Marty" Ahrens (Merle); and her stepchildren, Mark Baetens (Jane) and LeBeth Baetens. She is also survived by four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
