He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence J. Samstag Sr. and Louise Samstag (Mainzer); his wife Mary Beth Samstag (Link); and his siblings, Ruth Ruthsatz, Janet Sadler, Richard Samstag and Tom Samstag.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Richwagen (Joel) of Orlando, FL and Jason Samstag (Betsy) of Huron, OH; his grandchildren, Everett, Alexa, Roxanne and Samantha; and his siblings, Linda Kelley (Jay), Judy Hoyt of Perrysburg, OH, Mary Pisarski (Steve) of Sandusky, OH, Clarence "Babe" Samstag Jr. (Sara) and Joe Samstag (Colet) of Winterville, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Samstag Family Scholarship Fund in care of Sandusky Central Catholic School 410 W. Jefferson Street Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
