He was predeceased by: his father Franklin "Frank" J. Ackerman; and his fathers-in-law, Dan McLaughlin and George Homegardner. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ackerman (McLaughlin); his daughters, Cara Ackerman of Woburn, MA and Brooke Tallman (Scott) of Columbus, OH; his grandson Anthony Tallman; his siblings, Renee Harnsberger (Tom) of Pacific Palisades, CA, Francene Sheehan (Bill) of Columbus, OH, Kim Ackerman of San Francisco, CA and Chris Ackerman (Peggy) of Columbus, OH; his mother-in-law Elsie Homegardner of Sandusky; his brother Dan; and his sister-in-law Chris McLaughlin of Sandusky. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
