She was predeceased by: her parents, Elzena Jackson (Hendrix) and Frank Stalling; her husband James "Jim" Sparks; her siblings, Annie Robinson and Brooks Stalling; her sons, Terry Sparks and James "Eugene" Shabazz; and her grandson Lamont Harris.
She is survived by: her sisters, Doris Stalling (Armstrong), Mae McFadden (Leon) and Dorothy Carter; her cousins, Arthur and Lucille Rice; her children, Bonnie Sparks, Robert, Richy, Donnie and Frank Sparks; her daughter-in-law Mattie Sparks; her grandchildren, Bob Sparks, Chris Sparks, Keyonda Sparks, Lillian Sparks, Amber Shabazz, Justin Shabazz and Jason Shabazz; and her great grandchildren, Kenoa Harris, Jordan Harris, Austin Sparks, Evan Sparks, Jasmine Sparks, Daylan Sparks, Aleana Campbell, Tony Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Kierra Shabazz, Justin Shabazz Jr., Joshua Shabazz, Leona Shabazz, Yazmin Shabazz, Jason Shabazz Jr., Elijah Shabazz, Christian Sanders and Cameron Riley.
