Lorene Jerome Obituary
Lorene "Virginia Radar" Jerome Stanley, 79, of N. Ridgeville, formerly of Castalia, OH , passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 26, 2019, surrounded by her family in the Life Care Center of Westlake, in Westlake, OH after a lengthy illness. Born on February 22, 1940, in Big Stone Gap, VA, the daughter of Vilas and Gladys Marie (Yost) Bledsoe.
She had owned and operated the Parkertown Restaurant for a few years, before retiring in 1992. Lorene is survived by a daughter, Debra (Mark) Andres of N. Ridgeville; two sons, Jody (Carol) Jerome of N. Olmsted and Gary (Cynthia) Jerome of Selma, AL; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Carlos Bledsoe and Bill (Carla) Bledsoe both of Sandusky; two sister-in-laws, Dee Bledsoe of Downey, CA and Debbie Bledsoe of Sandusky; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her soulmate, Gary Fred Stanley; a sister, Shelvie Neidler; two brothers, Teddy and Jack Bledsoe; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Bledsoe. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 5-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, March 2, 2019, at 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. David T. Clarke of Stein Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to one's favorite charity.
