He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lee Stovall and Willie Mae Stovalll (Smith); his brother Thomas Lee Stovall Jr.; his mother-in-law Gladys Easter Blacksheare; his siblings-in-law, Josephine Stovall, Duane Blacksheare and Gladys Etta Duren; and his son-in-law Maurice Tillar.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Blacksheare (late Maurice) and Lionel D. "Scooter" Stovall (Jennifer); his wife Velda Blacksheare-Stovall; his brother Charles Stovall (Josephine); his nephew Jason L. Stovall; his niece Thomasina Stovall; his grandchildren, Julius Johnson, Brandon Green, Romello Johnson and Ashley Jones; his great grandchildren, A'Ziyiah, Niomi, Ayan and Nala; his great-nieces, Bethany, Bintu and Amani; his great-nephew Jason Jr.; his siblings-in-law, James Stanley Blacksheare, Tara Monroe, Tracie Blacksheare and Karen Tucker; and his grandchildren, Yvonne Mason (William), Risha Mason, Janine Mason-Wilson (Jason), Shirley Brown, Jarrett McDaniel and Porsha McDaniel. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
