Lenore Margaret Bates Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lenore Margaret Bates of Sandusky, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on October 23, 2022 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wernert and Mary Wernert; her siblings, Charles, James and Rosemary Beckham (Wernert); her husband James; and her children, James Bradley Bates and Mary Karen Schulz (Bates).
She is survived by: her daughter Joyce Marie Bates; her sister Rita Pletcher; her children-in-law, Marcia Bates and Gary Schulz; and her grandchildren, Ryan Laskey, Lisa Haas (Laskey), Justin Bates, Todd, Troy Schulz and Jena Stuckey (Schulz). She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame for the new Casa de Hospitalidad ministry of Sr. Joyce.
