It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Cherry (Sandusky, Ohio), born in DeKalb, Mississippi, who passed away on October 5, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mothers, Hester Hunter and Ida Mae Hunter (Houston); her husband Jimmie William Cherry Sr.; and her children, Estella McKinney, Geraldine Cherry, James Cherry and Johnny Cherry.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmie Cherry Jr. (Linda) of Sandusky and Patricia Hunter of Sandusky; her daughter-in-law Marcie Cherry of Cleveland, OH; and her brother-in-law Johnny James Cherry of San Francisco, CA.. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
