With heavy hearts, we announce the death of June Alice Illig (Sandusky, Ohio), who passed away on September 27, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Leon H. Matter; her former husband William Smith Jr.; her husband Bill Illig; her son Nelson Lee Smith; and her siblings, Gertrude Wobser, Mildred Bertschi, Betty Myers, Melba Johns, Patricia Swander, Oliver "Bus", Leon and Elwood Matter.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Roberts (Rhonda) of Castalia, Linda Imke (Dan) of Maplewood, OH, William Smith (Jenny) of Queen Creek, AZ, Jeffery Smith of Perrysburg and Stephen Smith (Nhaneth) of Norwalk; and her siblings, Marlene Brown (Denzel) of Sandusky and Dean Matter (Dorothy) of Sandusky. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
