It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Duncan of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus Gillman and Enos Gillman (Collins); her husband James "Jim" Duncan; her siblings, Wanda Bruce, Gladys Bugara, Della Boyer, Robert Gillman and Richard Gillman; and her nephew Jerry "Doc" Gillman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Crystal Duncan of Sandusky and Kathy "Kat" Getts of Sandusky; her grandchildren, Tiffany Getts, Kurtis Poole, Kierra Shabazz, Justin Shabazz, Joshua Shabazz and Aaliyah Durah; her great grandchildren, Tianari Simmons, Tiazia Hopkins, Correon Martin, Ka'Tana Poole, Ja'Syre Poole, Kayemoni Poole, Phoenix Poole, Myles Poole, Ka'Tazia Porter and Ka'Taziyonna Porter; her great great grandchildren, Taiya Green, Karielle Brown, Kalianna Brown, Kae'Nylah Withers and KaMoriyae Porter; and her siblings, Doris Garton, Lulla Knerr, Dennis Gillman, Tom Gillman and Charles Gillman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A wake was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel (16 Cooper St, Wakeman, OH 44889). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky Chapel (2001 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
