He was predeceased by: his daughter Dianne Hibbard; his parents, Essie Cheek and Dora Cheek (Wiseman); and his siblings, George (Alma), Carl (Ruth), Howard (Irene), Earl (Joyce), William, Charles, Anna Pooch (Owen), Lucille Krutil (Edward), Virginia Odenweller (Raymond) and Mary Catherine Foster (William).
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cheek (Bowsher); his children, Mikel Cheek (Janis) of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Catherine Crum (Michael) of Marion, Ohio; his son-in-law Tad Hibbard of Shinrock; and his siblings, Ronald Cheek (Dorothy) and Ruth Cheek of Sandusky. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
