It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Smith (Sandusky, Ohio), born in Brewton, Alabama, who passed away on May 6, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Floyd and Hannah Smith Sr. (Kelly); his wife Patrice Smith; his children, Curt Lewis, Tospre Lewis and Johnny D. Smith; his grandchildren, Alexus Este (Adonijah) of El Paso, TX, Curt Lewis of Sandusky, Azjaah Smith of Sandusky, Jeigh Diamond Smith of Sandusky, Brooklyn Smith-Logan of Sandusky, Jazmyn Denise Smith of Sandusky and Myles Lewis Smith of Sandusky; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Wright and Sakari Este; his siblings, Eddie Smith (Minnie) of Brewton, AL, Sam Smith (Rena), Billy Smith (Lori) of Detroit, MI, Betty Smith, Judy Smith, Phyllis Smith and Linda Smith; his friends, Carla "Cookie" Gregory-Thomas of Rochester, NY, Mike Cruse (Valorie) of Sandusky, David Moore (Karin) of Sandusky, Welston Nickelson (Carol) of Sandusky and Larry Logan of Sandusky; his grandson Johnny Smith Jr.; and his siblings, Willie Floyd Smith Jr. and Barbara Smith. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
