He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Whitaker; his parents, Darwin Whitaker and Lucille Whitaker (Cornwell); and his siblings, Donna Whitaker and Darwin.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Grunden (Ted) of Bellevue and Mike Whitaker (Jen Bagley) of Fremont; his grandsons, Jake Smith (Liv Earhart) and Ethan Smith; and his great grandchild Riverlyn Smith.
