He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Bossart; and his brother Byron Bossart. He is survived by: his children, Charles Bossart (Christine), Gretchen Bossart and John Bossart Jr.; and his grandchildren, Christopher Bossart (Savannah), C. J. Bossart (Betsy), Kyle Homerick (Alex) and Kelly Priestas (Paul). He is also survived by four great grandchildren with one more on the way; nieces, nephews.
