He is survived by: his wife Janice Philon; his children, Katina Philon, MecShell Fleming (Richard) and Desmond Philon, Sr. (Charlene); his grandchildren, Darious Jeter, De'Ondra Fisher, Jason Walls, Jr., Jay'Ziona Walls, Corrin Stacey, Coree Stacey, Destine Philon, Desyir Philon, Desmond Philon, Jr. and Corissa Philon; his siblings, Bernice Tart, Minnie Pearl Morgan and Woody Philon; his nieces, Sinda Johnson and Lora Philon; and his close friend Wayne Lemons. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, other loving relatives and friends.
