She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Sturik (Tom); her daughter-in-law Mimi Nease; and her grandchildren, Lauren Kiser (Ryan) and Andrew Nease (Victoria Henkel).

“I received word of Jan's death today with a heavy heart. Jan was like a sister to me. We met in 1986 & were close for many years. I will cherish the meany memories of her and glad she is now at peace with Jim.We had many wonderful years at Ogleby, NEORQC , Ripley and much more.I will call the rest of the Ogleby & other friends. I cherish the quilt of mine she worked on & I hope the family will keep and cherish her Oqleby quilt. I added the yellow roses to her quilt. Much love to Jan. Carole”
