He was predeceased by: his parents, Giles Ray and Marie McGookey (Troike); and his siblings, Patricia Peters, Alice Browne, Giles McGookey and Robert McGookey.
He is survived by: his wife Doris McGookey (Steinen); his children, James McGookey (Anne), Dr. Patrick McGookey (Kimberly), Dan McGookey (Bev) and Gail Stoy (Frank); his grandchildren, Ryan McGookey, Leigh Johnson, Lauren Sturdivant, Beth Ferguson, Michael McGookey, Caroline DeMario, Ellen Bartolett, Thomas McGookey, Nick Maschari and Kurt Maschari; and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Quinn, Reese, Camden, Reid and Bennett.
