He was predeceased by: his parents, William Batesole and Catherine Batesole (Flahiff); his wife Ruby Batesole; and his siblings, Margaret Perry (Jim), Rosaland Miller (Bud), Ruth Hawk (Rollin), Donald "Bud" Batesole (Pauline), Daniel Batesole (Dee), Catherine Witter (Daniel), James Batesole (Judy) and Elizabeth Stang (Donald).
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Batesole (Patricia) of Pickerington, OH, Richard Batesole (Sandy) of Avon Lake, OH, Debra Carpenter (Patrick) of Elyria, OH, Theresa Newness (Gregg) of Norton, OH, Robert Batesole of Amherst, OH and Tammie Young (Mike) of Amherst, OH; and his stepdaughter Joan Herzog (Verlus) of St. Mary's, OH. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory (1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
