He was predeceased by: his parents, Carless Byrd and Evelyn Byrd (Loudermilk); his son Jeremy Byrd; and his siblings, Jeanne Shafer, Shirley Schofield and Carl Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Byrd (Klonk); his children, Jared Byrd (Susan), Tony Smerk (Ashley) and Cari Smerk; and his sister Sue Born (Rob Shuck). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
