He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary "Jackie" and Arthur Savage; his stepfather Jack Rice; his daughter Sandra L. Savage-Ortner; and his siblings, Sarah Savage and Johnnie Savage.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Savage (Spears); his son Gary A. Savage Jr. (Pat); his grandchildren, Laura Cotner, Michael Savage, Heather Moskus (Robby), Samantha Brake and Garrett Savage; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Riley, Gracie, Kaiden, Carrington, Karsen, Clyde and Kolsten; and his siblings, Jack Savage (Linda), Jess "Toad" Savage (Berthie), Randy Rice (Lisa), Debbie Gilliam, Penny May (Morgan) and Greg Rice (Penny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
