He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley David Harris and Catherine Harris (Ruffin); his sister Margaret Guyette; his mother-in-law Louise Scruggs; his stepmother Helen Harris; his brother Timothy Hamilton; and his stepfather Frison Ruffin.
He is survived by: his spouse Joselyn; his children, Nina Johnson, Patrice Darden (Alphonso), Dawn Johnson, Danielle Belmer and Christopher Harris (Lori); his siblings, Billy Harris (Kathy), Douglas Harris, Crispin Harris (Nanette), Paul Harris (Danielle), Catherine Woods, Ann Thorne (Curtis) and Stacie Harris; and his grandchildren, Jermaine Harris (Nicole), Chastity Johnson, Charles Johnson Jr., Iris Johnson, Crysten Johnson, Terrence Johnson, Lorenzo Asher, Anthony Jones (Alexis), Dionne Johnson, Anthrone Mebane, William Parker-Johnson, Brandon McClure Jr., Reece Rosin, Jenna Rosin and Crishawn Hodge. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A wake was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel (16 Cooper St, Wakeman, OH 44889). Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (1215 Pierce St, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
