He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Hogrefe and Dietrich Hogrefe; his siblings, Carryl Martin, Beatrice Weinstein and Ralph Hogrefe; and his son-in-law Michael English.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Carmen Miguel Hogrefe; his children, Richard Hogrefe (Meghan), Ana English (James McArdle) and Kimberly Levine; his sister Kathryn Quint; his grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas, Joshua, Heather, Julia and Elinor; and his great grandchildren, Oliver, Theodora and Charlotte. He is also survived by in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hogrefe Foundation, 152 Columbus Ave Sandusky OH 44870, with a mission to help make Erie County a better place for its citizens, with a focus on children.
