It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Louise Rather-Grubbs (Sandusky, Ohio), who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother David "Bo" Rather; her grandparents, Sam, Lottie Rather, Elmer and Hallie Hollowell; her father Coach Ajaish "Butch"; her sisters, Marion, Patricia Jean and Betty Ann; her foster brother Adrian Squire; her niece Candice Rather; her godparents, Mary Lee Holman, Charles Conway and Evelyn Conway; and her close friend Andrew Broadway.
She is survived by: her husband William Grubbs; her stepdaughter Latora Adanu (Sesami) of Philadelphia, PA; her grandchildren, Adam and Ellie; her brother Donald Rather of Phoenix, AZ; her sister-in-law Ann Rather of Battle Creek, MI; her caregivers, Michelle Rather of Rahway, NJ and Kim Collins of Memphis, TN; her nephews, Bryan Rather of Cleveland, OH and David Rather Jr. of Stone Mountain, GA; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brittany Davis (Carr) of Memphis, TN, Scottie-Marie Unsal of Seattle, WA, David Locke of London, England, Austin, Mason Rather of Cleveland, Devin Rather of Savannah, GA and Kyle Rather of Sandusky; her close friends, Nora L. Monegan of Sandusky and Dora James of Rahway, NJ; and also, Godsister and Charlayne Johnson (Semon) of Sandusky.
