He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Taylor and Janie V. Taylor; and his siblings, George Lee Taylor, T. C. Taylor, Telly Taylor, Annie Lee Johnson and Mary Williamson.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Taylor (Turner); his sisters, Bonnie Davis (Grant) of Waynesboro, MS and Teresa Johnson of Stateline, MS; his children, Charles Taylor (Sheila) of Sandusky, Jerry Taylor (Donna) of Sandusky, John Taylor of Sandusky, Dollie Hopkins (Dannie) of Sandusky and Rasul El of Albany, NY; and his grandchildren, Tamura, Shaquanda (Rommel), Sharlisa (Maurice), Jerry, Jr. (Jennifer), Jerron, Dayonna, John, Jr., Kirsten, Kristen, Angela, Connor and Kyle. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call from 11 a. m. on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, until funeral services begin at 12 p. m. Per COVID guidelines, attendance for the funeral will be limited and masks are required.
