It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ruth Matthews of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Virginia Mary Harris of Virginia; her sister Mary J. Harris; her cousins, Willie J. Lymon and Alvin Lymon; and her close friend Sis.
She is survived by: her husband Deacon Henry Matthews, Sr.; her children, Clarissa Matthews, Sherri Matthews, Henry Matthews, Jr. (Esther) and Stephanie Williams (Michael); her grandchildren, Sterling Williams, Henry "Berry" Matthews, III and Mikayla Williams; her niece Arzetta Harris; and her nephews, Michael Matthews and Jerry Matthews, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
