It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Recupero of Sandusky, Ohio, born in Republic, Ohio, who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gust Esker and Arthena Lavern McConnell (Coffman); her husband Anthony J. Recupero; and her siblings, Mary Rospert, Dorothy Moyer and Edward McConnell.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Leininger (Darlene) of Goodyear, AZ, Marlene Burger (Robert) of Winter Spring, FL and Phyllis Haas (Robert) of Castalia; and her siblings, Olive "Boots" Weller of Bellevue, Cleo "Jean" Wolfe of Tiffin, Gus "Jeff" McConnell (Catherine) of Bellevue and John McConnell of Port Clinton, OH. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, wearing of masks (they will be offered) and social distancing will be mandatory.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
