She was predeceased by: her parent Naomi Mickens (Smith); her stepfather Luke Mickens; her siblings, Ezell, Nathaniel (Sanford), William Jacob Smith and Marianne Goodwin (Smith); and her grandson Noah Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Tracy Reed (Gerald) of Columbus, Tonia Pace (Keith) of Toledo and Charles of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Gordon Williams Jr., Charles Alexander Williams, Keith Pace, Jr., Charles Simmons, Columbus Sheperd III, Kristian Pace, Xavier Simmons and Nyla Simmons; her siblings, Irma Smith of New York, Naomi Tyler of Sandusky, Jackie Smith, Frances Copeland of Greensboro and Harold Dee Smith of Sandusky; and her friends, Jackie Sallee, Flossie Simmons and Ella Baker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
