Bertina Catherine Buathier Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertina Catherine Buathier of Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Marketti and Rose Marie Marketti (Magi); her husband Luis E. "Ernie" Buathier; her grandson Matthew P. Gillingham; her great grandchild Harper; and her siblings, Donna Millis and Eugene "Geno" Marketti.
She is survived by: her children, David Buathier (Gloria) of Sandusky, Debbie Marino (Rick) of Cuyahoga Falls and Denise Toccaceli (Deno) of Sandusky; her stepdaughter Martha Zimmerman of Columbus; her granddaughters, Stephanie and Jennifer; and her stepgrandchildren, Kandice, Dustin, Lori, Angela, Bret and Bart. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren; her soulmate, her pup, "Miley" and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870; and because she loved dogs, to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
