She was predeceased by: her husband Edmund; her parents, Albert Smith and Ida Smith; her siblings, Clarence, Harold Smith, Dorothy Pinches, Helen Jaffary and Annette; and her niece Patricia Pontefract.

She is survived by: her daughters, Georgia Simpson (Robert) of Flint and Kathleen Sartor (Lynn) of Sandusky; her grandchildren, John M. Simpson of Flint, Sloane Simpson Slagg of Flint, Amy Sartor of Sandusky and Erin Sartor Michael (Dan) of Aurora, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Kelley Slagg, Danielle Slagg, Brittany Newman (Kyle), Amanda Allen, Shianne Simpson and Jordan Simpson of Flint; her sister-in-law Phyllis Klepper Jones of Union City, Ind.; and her pets, Willie and Jake Sartor. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
