He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James and Helen Schmidt; his uncle Thomas Schmidt Sr.; and his aunt Judi Bell. He is survived by: his parents, Cindy Strischock Vogan (Scott) of Newport Richey, FL and David Schmidt of North Lima; his children, Skye and Peyton Schmidt; his siblings, Jennifer Bokelman (Chris) of Cincinnati, Jessica Crouse of Columbiana and Joshua Schmidt (Kati) of Newport Richey, FL; and his fiancée Kristina Avis of Salineville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
