He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Earl Stiers and Fidessa M. Stiers (Rich); and his wife Elizabeth J. Stiers (Allen). He is survived by: his children, Matthew A. Stiers (Debra) and Elizabeth "LizAnne" Chumney (Richard); his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Stiers and Rebecca Stiers Oliphant; his grandchildren, Joshua Stiers (Jenny), Suzanne Clark (Chris), Kassandra Shafer (Brian), Tom Chumney (Jenna) and Adam Chumney (Lacey); and his stepgrandchildren, Franklin Gadd (Allison), Timothy Gadd (Jessica) and Julie Gadd. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
