She was predeceased by: her parents, Foster Lawrence Hayes and Ildreth E. Hayes (Stallings); and her brothers, Kenneth and James Hayes. She is survived by: her husband William E. "Bill" Kahrig; her sons, John Kahrig and Bob Kahrig (Lisa); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Doug, Nikki Kahrig, Krista, Dusty and Jaderiana Kahrig; and her sister Connie Lou Calloway. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
